AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced that AT&T will carry the Motorola RAZR2 V9, an eye-catching new 3G-powered, 2.0 megapixel, clamshell mobile phone. The RAZR2 V9 will be available in select AT&T retail stores and online in early September for as low as $299.99.

AT&T introduced the first RAZR in November 2004, and the device has remained popular through versions such as the V3i, the first and only RAZR with iTunes, and the V3xx, another 3G-powered music and video device.

“AT&T was the exclusive carrier for the original RAZR when it changed what customers wanted from their mobile phones,” said Carlton Hill, vice president of Product Development for AT&T’s wireless unit. “We’ve led the market for years with the most fashionable phones, and the thin and iconic RAZR2 is no exception.”

AT&T’s Cellular Video (CV) on-demand video service will be available in one click from a dedicated hardkey on the keypad. CV features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and exclusive premium content from HBO and much more.

The RAZR2 V9 will feature AT&T Mobile Music, which allows customers to sideload music from eMusic, MusicID song recognition service, XM Radio Mobile, The Buzz music news portal, Music Videos and more. The handset is also MobiTV-capable, which means that users can enjoy streaming live TV.
