Ecuador gets RIM’s BlackBerry Bold

RIM launched its business popular smartphone, the BlackBerry Bold for users in Ecuador. The Bold is first RIM’s phone supporting tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world. The handset also comes with buit-in GPS and Wi-Fi functions. It’s powered by a 624 MHz CPU and also includes 128 MB Flash memory plus 1 GB on-board storage memory.

On the front side it has a vivid and bold half-VGA LCD display with 480×320 pixel resolution. The phone provides a 2 megapixel camera with built-in flash and digital zoom, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 for connection. The BlackBerry Bold is expected to be available ending August from Movistar and Porta, but pricing has not been announced.
