Glide OS Introduces New Social Software Suite and Approach to Privacy Protection
On June 27th, Glide, the original online OS, is launching a tightly integrated social software suite featuring a new Address Book, Calendar and integrated communication tools. The new applications will be unveiled at an exclusive media-only event that will take place at 9:00 AM EST at the landmark Peninsula Hotel in New York City. TransMedia will also demonstrate live Glide’s new advanced cross platform synchronization and three-screen strategy for PCs, TVs and mobile handsets.
The Glide Address Book, Calendar and built in communication tools are designed to connect family, friends and co-workers at home and when traveling and to improve the coordination of activities and scheduling. Glide’s advanced file synchronization, format translation, file management and sharing tools work together with an automated message notification system making it a breeze to get your family and work life in sync.
You can synchronize your address book and calendars with your Windows, Mac and Linux PCs and share with family, friends and co-workers. Furthermore, Glide address books and calendars can be accessed and edited on RIM BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm and Symbian handsets. All participant address books and calendars are automatically updated when any changes are made to contact information, calendar events, conference schedules, meeting agendas etc. Participants also receive email, SMS and/or on-screen notifications with the ability to respond to the sender(s) and other participants. Glide’s message notification system is designed to deliver notifications on three screens, the PC, TV and mobile handset.
