“Helio Player is a first of its kind and we’re excited to be a part of launching an application that lets Helio’s users manage and better experience their media and entertainment,” said Chris Jo, Vice President, Music Services Global marketing & Product Management at RealNetworks.

Helio Music Store Integration
Helio Player integrates the popular Helio Music Store, which offers a robust yet simple experience, creating the streamlined look and feel of a virtual trip to your favorite music shop.

With Helio Music Store, members can:

  • Search and Browse: hundreds of thousands of tracks in a wide variety of genres from major music labels
  • Stream: preview tracks before purchasing
  • Purchase and Download: full-length songs and albums
  • View: information including artist bios and images, top songs and available albums
  • Discover: similar artists, top music, song recommendations, new releases and reviews
  • Manage: account information and view purchase and download histories
  • Sort: create playlists and transfer to compatible Helio devices
  • Gift & Beg: buy a song for a friend or ask for music you want from another member

Price and Compatibility
Helio Player is free of charge for Helio members and compatible with PCs running Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems and Helio devices Ocean, Fin, Drift and Heat. Most songs purchased on a PC are $0.99, and songs purchased over-the-air are $1.99, which includes dual-delivery to a Helio device and Helio Player on a PC.
