Japan to introduce wallet phones to world soon

Japan’s initiative is all about giving everyone a reason to buy cell phones with a technology that makes these handsets with better usage. Japanese innovation has a lot to offer which includes some of the best mobile handsets capable of digital TV broadcasts and video downloads and we should not forget Japan cell phone payments technology and this is where wallet phones are now popular concept phone.

The concept of wallet phone is to get rid of paper money and credit cards and do every payment through your cellphone. Wallet phones offer to ease your life by replacing your wallets with a cell phones based transactions. Wallet phones technology is based on Tiny computer called FeliCa (developed by Sony) which is embedded on phone that enables contact less payment every where e.g shopping malls, vending machines or in train stations.

Most recent handset models in japan have the wallet function. NTT DOCOMO introduced this technology in Japan in 2004 for which now japanese government has teemed up with an industry group of Japanese carriers and manufacturers to spread this word to whole lot of world through international missions and seminars.
