Kogan Introduces The World’s Second Android Phone Models – Agora and Agora Pro

Published: Dec 4th, 2008 | Author: Priya

Ruslan Kogan of Kogan Technologies has now announced the introduction of his new creations, the world’s second Android phones – the Agora and the Agora Pro. The Agora, powered by Android, will be the next smartphone after T-Mobile G1 and will be released along with a second version, the Agora Pro.

The Kogan Agora will comprise a backlit QWERTY-style keyboard, 2.5” touchscreen display, microSD slot, Central navigation key and 3G connectivity. The Agora Pro, on the other hand, will have all of the above features, plus a 2MP camera, smart GPS and Wi-Fi. Other specifications include Bluetooth, inbuilt microphone and speakers and several audio-video compatible formats.

Both the phone models were supposed to be introduced this year-end, but their pre-order and shipping dates have now been delayed to January 29, 2009. When the models are released, the Kogan Agora will be available at AU$299 and the Kogan Agora Pro will be sold at AU$399. Pretty reasonable prices for mobile phones supporting so many features, what say? I would say it is worth the risk.
