Microsoft and RIM deal brings Windows Live Services to BlackBerry smartphone customers
Mobile social networking is hot in mobile space and now manufacturers are putting it in their devices as part of preloaded features. Before that it was flickr Add-on on Nokia handsets and now its RIM BlackBerry which has partnered up with Microsoft to integrate rich “Live Search” capabilities into the BlackBerry Browser and BlackBerry Maps.
With this feature BlackBerry smartphone owners can use Microsoft Live Search as their search engine in the BlackBerry Browser. This feature will allow BlackBerry users to search for weather forecasts, restaurants, news headlines, images, stock quotes, or websites. Interesting part of this collaboration is that Windows Live Hotmail for BlackBerry will allow customers to display HTML e-mail with the ability to view graphics, Web links, and contact photos in emails.
BlackBerry smartphone customers will also be able to enjoy easy mobile access to Windows Live Messenger. As part of this RIM Microsoft deal Live Search for BlackBerry smartphones will be available later this year with multiple languages support.

This is good news for the corporate world.
