WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., April 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Nokia (NYSE:NOK) announced today that the much heralded Nokia N95 has started selling in the United States at Nokia Flagship stores, online and through select wireless retailers.

The Nokia N95 is an all-in-one multimedia computer that truly demonstrates what the Internet has to offer by bringing the net together with the latest in wireless communication technology. The Nokia N95 features a unique 2-way slide design for easy switching between phone, music or video mode. It is also equipped with WiFi connectivity, integrated GPS functionality and a 5 megapixel camera featuring Carl Zeiss optics.

“The Nokia N95 easily replaces a number of single purpose devices with a well designed package that encompasses a fast and powerful multimedia computer,” said Bill Plummer, Vice President, Sales & Channel Management, Multimedia, Nokia North America. “The Nokia N95 is a personal, powerful and connected device that is optimized for music, video and to conveniently access anything on the World Wide Web.”

The Nokia N95 arrived at the Nokia Flagship stores in New York and Chicago this weekend and they experienced a rush of eager fans, some that have been on the waiting list for months.

“It was a great feeling to be able to open the doors on Saturday for some very enthusiastic Nokia customers, who have been anticipating this day for months”, said Winston Wright, head of Nokia Retail Operations, Nokia Americas. “We are now able to respond to consumer demand by selling the desirable Nokia N95 with a full US warranty and localized customer support, and with customers driving in all the way from Delaware and Massachusetts; we know this is the right way to go.”
