Published: Sep 8th, 2008 | Author: Roman

There is something really great about Nokia N96 as it is being launched everywhere with preloaded local features. Before we had a news that Nokia N96 is being launched in India with preloaded bollywood features, now it’s UK which will get hands on with local preloaded features.

Nokia N96 will be launched in UK on October 1st and will allow users to access BBC TV or radio programmes from the previous seven days for free over 3G or WIFI connections. However, the iPlayer app won’t come bundled on every N96 shipped in the UK, users can download the iPlayer from the BBC website.

Will these units be available in the US?

This is good news. I use iPlayer to catch up on various programmes that I miss out on watching. The N96 sure looks set to be a fantastic phone, I hope it lives up to the hype.
