Nokia unveils mobile TV channel to show case Nokia N77

Informa Telecoms and Media study expect the mobile TV market will grow to nearly 50 million DVB-H enabled handsets to be sold till 2010. The research report expects 125 million consumers will be watching television on their mobile phone. Keeping this in view, Nokia has strategically unveiled its own mobile television channel to showcase its latest Nokia N77 multimedia device. Now users can watch TV on the move with the new DVB-H-enabled Nokia N77 multimedia phone. Nokia first supplied its Mobile Broadcast System 3.0 and Nokia N92 mobile TV devices to the pilot which will last from October to December 2006. This pilot project included 400 consumers.

Nokia N77 features a 2 megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom, a wide 2.4” QVGA flat screen with up to 16.7 million colors. Nokia N77 TV key and Program Guide give straight access to various channels and program information respectively. Nokia N77 features many user-friendly applications, the device even remembers the last channel you were viewing when you switch of the TV, offers parental control (with operator support), and provides reminder so that you won’t miss any favorite show. It also comes with a TV stand for easy viewing.
