O2 to offer Opera Mini browser on cell phones in Slovakia

O2 in Slovakia has bought a new service for its customers. Opera Mini Browser is set to come pre-installed in cell phones from O2. This means that with Opera Mini Internet browser the internet would be in subscribers pocket. This will really change the ways users browse internet, there would be no sluggish download of pages and higher internet costs any more.

O2’s “Internet-to-Go” will be available on several models with both pre-installed and over-the-air (OTA) versions of the Opera Mini browser. Opera mini will offer many other features; among them are the mouse and the cursor, bookmarks with favorite pages and the RSS functionality.

Pocket browser will supports hundreds of types of mobile phones if the mobile supports Java and GPRS. This actually is supported by vast majority of the mobile phones on the market. With opera mini browser O2 customers can browse whole Web on their mobile phones which includes the latest news, weather forecast and timetables which means huge source of info is now browse able.

O2 customers don’t need to worry about lengthy download of pages. The browser is specially adapted for the conditions of the mobile network. User can really save money with fast browsing and less download storage.

Cool, is this the only Opera instalation of this type in Europe?

what do you mean by “installation of this type”? From what I know, even T-mobile Slovakia offers branded version of Opera mini for more than a year already, so I suppose there are many more carriers offering Opera mini in Europe …
