Palm Treo 650 Users Get Direct Push
Palm has finally released an update for its Treo 650 handset that will allow it to support Microsoft’s Direct Push Technology. The software update now gives 650 users the same benefits as users of the Treo 680 and 700p - the ability to keep current with their corporate exchange servers. Using the VersaMail v3.5 application and Microsoft’s Direct Push Technology, Treo 650 owners now have the option for fast and automatic OTA (Over-the-Air) wireless sync of email, calendars, and contacts while on the road.
The Exchange ActiveSync Update for Palm Treo 650 users can be downloaded directly from Palm’s website for US$2.99. For those unlucky users that are not currently running version 3.5 of VersaMail, an additional US$9.99 will be required for that upgrade as well.
