RIM introduces Prepaid Services and solutions in India and Pakistan
The introduction to prepaid mobile services is growing popular in most part of globe because users feel secure with no hanging contracts. Keeping this in mind RIM has introduced its leading smartphone models in India and Pakistan for prepaid customers. According to RIM EMS, Warid Telecom, and Reliance Mobile has introduced prepaid BlackBerry phones to their customers; EMS and Warid for Pakistan, and Reliance in India.
In India so far BlackBerry was available only on the post-paid connections of Vodafone Essar and Bharti Airtel but with the launch of BlackBerry Prepaid devices customers in India will be able to use BlackBerry smart phones with out any contracts.
Following BlackBerry smart phones would be available in India through Reliance mobile.
- The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smart phone, which operates on both CDMA & GSM networks
- The BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphone on CDMA networks
- The BlackBerry Curve 8300 smartphone on GSM networks
- The BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphone on GSM networks
- The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 smartphone on CDMA networks, and
- The BlackBerry 8703e smartphone on CDMA networks
In Pakistan RIM and Warid Telecom has launched BlackBerry solution which will offer smartphone devices along with software and services to access email, phone, calendar and web. In Pakistan Prepaid connection and cards are the most bought item so Warid Telecom will offer prepaid smartphone devices to Zem Prepaid users. These devices include models BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and BlackBerry Curve 8310.
