Sprint today announced that its smartphones, HTC Mogul and HTC Touch get new features via a software upgrade. The Mogul software upgrade now includes support Windows Mobile 6.1 and Touch upgrade supports EV-DO Rev. A data for higher speeds. The new Mogul software upgrade featuring Windows Mobile 6.1 includes easier phone navigation and management, and stronger security safeguards. The upgrade also includes Windows desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Live Search, Sprint TV and is available for downloading at www.america.htc.com/mogulupdate.

The Touch upgrade software enables EV-DO Rev. A data speeds, which increase speeds from 400-700 kbps to 600 kbps-1.4 mbps and average upload speeds increase from 50-70 kbps to 350-500 kbps. Another features of this upgrade are also Windows Mobile 6.1, Enhanced GPS Capabilities, Opera Browser and Onscreen 40-key QWERTY Keyboard.
