At the first Electronics for All Expo opening today, Sprint (NYSE: S) announced new ways for its customers to take their games to go on their Sprint phones with the launch of the Sprint Arcade, a unique bundle of casual games.

The Sprint Arcade, the first-ever subscription game channel in North America, allows customers to download multiple games powered by EA Mobile????, the group within Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) that creates games for wireless phones, for one low monthly fee. The current list of games includes Sudoku, Mini Golf, Mahjong, Hearts, Air Hockey and Blue Blocks, with more to be added.

“The Sprint Arcade gives our customers the ability to choose the games that interest them,” said Joe Ariganello, games manager for Sprint. “By paying one low monthly fee, mobile gamers get the opportunity to select and play any of the six games we are currently providing from EA Mobile, our exclusive content provider. Since we launched the industry’s first mobile game in 2000, Sprint has been the leader in mobile gaming, and we’re continuing that history of innovation with the Sprint Arcade and other new products launching at E for All today.”

“We worked closely with Sprint to provide games for the Arcade that have widespread appeal,” said Bernard Kim, Sr. Director of Sales for the Americas at EA Mobile. “The games we are offering are designed for the casual player – with easy controls and quick, fun play sessions.”

The Sprint Arcade is available on most data-enabled Sprint phones for $9.99 per month. To download, Sprint customers should select the Web icon on their phone’s main menu and type “arcade” into the search box. Standard data usage charges apply.
