World’s first handset with built-in Intelligent Key is developed by Nissan, Sharp and NTT DoCoMo

Nissan, Sharp and NTT DoCoMo have already developed new Intelligent Key technology which will be integrated to a handset. Based on this, the handset will be sold through NTT DoCoMo. This technology is already used in more than 950,000 automobiles of Nissan since 2002.

The Intelligent Key integrated in the prototype handset (pictured below) will be able to lock/unlock car door and start/stop the engine. The prototype will be introduced at CEATEC Japan 2008 which begins September 30.
